.
Poetry from Des Donnelly - Irish poet born 1955, Co. Tyrone, north Ireland. Still writing.
fleeting life blossoms
tell of falling tomorrows
love but the moment
Keeping my old shoes
to wear them again for a final performance
walking nowhere, just stepping on stuff
the detritus crunching underfoot
the resonance almost refreshing
memory dust blowing off to somewhere safe
all the broken things rendered unassailable
the piecing together of fragments forgotten
or vice versa
catharsis an overrated oversold event
